Our Services

Why use a mobile wound care specialist for your residents?

Arizona Wound Healers treats pressure ulcers, and leg and foot ulcers.

We assess detailed risk factors in folks who might be prone to get wounds, including using technology to identify at-risk skin.

Comprehensive nutritional assessments with recommendations are available, an often-neglected part of care.

We also offer a unique Staff training course: Proper Skincare and Wound Prevention Program that every facility should offer as continuing education (CE) credits for their CNAs, MAs, LPNs, RNs and even medical providers!

Wound Assessment

AWH medical providers will assess and treat wounds using appropriate wound dressings to help healing. Providers will also assess risk factors such as blood flow, excess moisture, nutrition status, and other disease risk factors. New and existing technologies we use can enhance prevention and treatment of wounds.

Wound Debridement

Debridement is cleansing a wound of unhealthy tissue. This can be done surgically with sharp instruments, or using various nonsurgical approaches. Proper debridement is a crucial step in getting wounds to heal.

Wound Grafting with Skin Substitutes

Skin substitutes are advanced products that are proven to aid in chronic wound healing. They serve as a foundation for building proteins and stimulating cells to help shrink a wound. These grafts may reduce pain and inflammation.

Proper Skin Care & Wound Prevention Program

AWH focuses on identifying wound risk factors and at-risk skin before wounds develop.

We provide consulting for group homes, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Our unique program offers practical tips that caregivers, MAs, CNAs, LPNs, RNs and even medical providers can immediately use when caring for residents. Arizona Wound Healers can schedule an educational symposium for your staff at your convenience. Click here learn more about the program!

Comprehensive Nutrition Assessments

Thorough nutritional assessments are often lacking in the care of frail elderly residents. Proper nutrition plays a key role in preventing and treating wounds. Learning what nutrients are needed, what are the best foods or supplements that supply those nutrients, and how to get those foods and nutrients into residents with poor appetite and eating deficits are key components to this Geri-Nutrition Consultation. The useful and solution-oriented information pearls from this assessment can benefit residents without wounds as well. Medicare coverage is available to some patients (Diabetics and those with Chronic Kidney Disease); for other residents, a consulting fee would be charged.
